Our October discussion centered on Life with Picasso, the 1964 (and still resonant) memoir of artist Francoise Gilot.
While most of our discussion participants were on "Team Francoise" after reading about the couple's relationship, the reading of Life with Picasso by Francoise Gilot sparked much discussion about Picasso's legacy, art, and interactions with family, friends, other artists, and historical events.
The conversation also traversed such topics as the art world of the 1940s/50s and beyond, Gilot's life and art, the creative process, the business of art, feminism, and much more.
These are just a few of the suggestions for further exploration that arose.

The works of the artist Joan Mitchell also came up during the discussion.
So much to explore--and any of these will lead to more to view, read, and consider!
For November, we turn to This Is Not Propaganda: Adventures in the War Against Reality by Peter Pomerantsev. This book will be the topic of discussion on Sunday, November 15.
